From time to time Pathfinder works with BESC Engineering Electrical (a Bunbury, Western Australia based electrical contractor) on mining and infrastructure projects in Western Australia. In early 2018 BESC Engineering Electrical was awarded a large electrical scope as part of the establishment of a new mineral sands processing plant at Boonanarring near Gingin in Western Australia. The site was to be owned and operated by Image Resources BESC engaged Pathfinder as their communications infrastructure partner to assist in the route planning and layout of the necessary site optical fibres for automation, security and corporate network requirements around the site. Later, Pathfinder was further engaged to supply the optical fibre cables, racks, enclosures, fibre optic break out trays and then perform the site work to terminate, test and commission the optical fibre links around the site.
